Disaster in Asia - Danish competences and resources

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a meeting January 3, 2004, with representatives from the Danish resource base. The meeting discussed the content of Danish support to the water and sanitation sector in the Tsunami affected areas, especially in Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

At the meeting it was decided that DWF should assist the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by collecting and communicating relevant information from the members, e.g. knowledge about the damage in the affected areas, presence of staff and competences. A note was distributed via email and put on the website where after the secretariat received a number of responses from DWF members and others.
