Several sessions were dedicated to thematic and cross-thematic discussions to identify knowledge gaps and interlinkages; and the participants actively engaged in fruitful group and plenary discussions.

At the end of the workshop, the participants elected an Interim Steering Committee for this initiative. The Steering Committee includes representatives from University of Botswana, University of Zambia, Zambia Meteorological Department, National University of Lesotho, and the Danish research networks.
