Workshop on Water Saving Irrigation Practices in rice-based canal systems, Asian Institute of Technology - Bangkok, October 8-9, 2009

The University of Copenhagen and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok is organising this 2 day workshop for scientists, practitioners and PhD-students under the auspices and support of the Danish Water Forum and the International Research School of Water Resources (FIVA). The workshop addresses field, scheme and basin levels and linkages, with key presentations on irrigation modernization, rice water management and governance. The workshop is also an integral part of a preceding phd-course on Advances in Agricultural Water Productivity Assessment and Improvement in Irrigation schemes (October 3-9), and is a unique opportunity for those interested in water scarcity issues and the management of medium and large irrigation schemes under water scarcity.

DWF offers some stipends covering the full cost of participation.
